REGISTRATION FOR SINGLE SEASONS
The Natick Soccer Club has decided to stay with the option of playing a single season. Here are some questions and answers that will help clarify your decision for registration.

1. What is a single season registration?
   The single season registration will allow the player to participate in the Fall only season, Spring only season and, as we have done in the past, both Fall and Spring seasons.
2. What is the cost of registration?
   Single seasons will cost $90.00/season. Dual seasons (registering for Fall/Spring at same time) will cost $160.00/year.
3. What age group does the single season start?
   The single season for Travel players will include grades 5-8, and all intramural players.
4. Can my 3/4th grader also play a single season for Travel?
   NO. The third and fourth grade Travel program will remain a one year commitment; those players wishing to play a single season will play in the intramural program.
5. What if a player who has played in the Fall decides to play in the spring?
   There will still be a Spring registration period in early winter. Players wanting to play Spring soccer only should register at that time.
6. How will the single season affect teams and placement?
   There will be try-outs in the Spring for the Fall season, and players will be evaluated, as in the past, with the combination of try-outs and coaching evaluations. Placements will then be re-evaluated between the fall and spring seasons. Players may change teams to accommodate players joining and leaving the program.
7. If a player commits for a year will that child be on the same team for the entire year?
   Not necessarily, teams may have to shift and therefore the player may or may not be on same team.
8. When will the players know their placement?
   The teams for the Fall of a given year will be posted on the web-site www.naticksoccer.org on July 1st. The coaches will follow up with a phone call soon after the web site is published.
9. Do I need a new uniform?
   Only if you are new to travel or the player has lost or grown out of their uniform.
10. When do I register?
    ALL PLAYERS -BOTH TRAVEL AND INTRAMURAL- PLANNING TO PLAY IN THE FALL SEASON WILL NEED TO REGISTER PRIOR TO TRYOUTS. ALL PLAYERS ATTENDING TRYOUTS MUST BE REGISTERED BEFORE THEY ATTEND TRYOUTS.
11. Do travel players have to try out?
    All 3/4th graders need to try-out. Players in 5-8th grade that want to play on one of the top three teams must tryout. Tryouts are not mandatory for those players that do not want to play for one of the top three teams. Placement for players that do not go to the try-out will be based on coach's evaluations and input from the club's coaching staff.
12. What are the age requirements?
    NSC follows BAYS requirements for travel soccer.  Intramural players play with their appropriate classmates and travel players follow BAYS requirements.  The birthdate cutoff is July 31st.  The link included will take you to the BAYS site for review or you can contact us for clarification:  BAYS AGE GROUPS
